International coalition launches new tools to help cities improve health and build resilience in a changing climate.
The Resilient Cities, Reimagining Health programme, a partnership between the SMI and the Resilient Cities Network, brings together 33 cities across 21 countries to accelerate a prevention-first approach to health in the face of climate change.
Led by Reckitt and Bupa, with support from Sanofi, UCB, Yale School of Public Health and Mode Economics, the programme is now moving from dialogue to delivery, building on the Case for Action report published in 2025.
Developed in response to feedback from cities, today the programme is launching two new practical tools that help city leaders develop bespoke business cases for preventative interventions, demonstrating how targeted investments can improve health, ease system pressures, decarbonise healthcare, and build resilience within their communities.
The Climate x Health Impact Dashboard helps cities understand and quantify the potential climate and health benefits of different interventions. Grounded in real world experience, it allows city leaders to build a stronger, locally relevant evidence base for decision-making and investment.

The Climate x Health Playbook complements this by providing a practical roadmap for implementation. It guides city practitioners through the process of integrating health into resilience planning and helps them move from strategy to delivery.
