Today, SMI Founder His Majesty King Charles III visited the University of Cambridge for a bespoke tour of the Whittle Laboratory, a world-leading centre for pioneering innovation in net-zero aviation and energy.
The day began with roundtable sessions bringing together 90 industry leaders, including CEOs and CTOs from leading global organizations, for a welcome presentation and two working discussions.
His Majesty participated in a private tour of the laboratory, accompanied by SMI CEO Jennifer Jordan-Saifi, M.V.O., MBA and SMI member and Director of the Whittle Laboratory, Professor Rob Miller, before joining over 160 attendees for a plaque unveiling ceremony marking the occasion.
The visit reflects the vital role of collaboration between industry, research, and the SMI in accelerating the transition to sustainable aviation and energy systems.
